Breakfast provided: Nestled among 2 hundred year old pecan and magnolia trees is our ranch style guest home, with 7 bedroom and 4 baths, on 2+ acres. We are only 4 miles from downtown McKinney, 30 miles from downtown Dallas. Dallas Love Field is 30 miles & DFW 36 miles. We just bought 9 new Serta Mattresses from Macy’s. Everyone will get a good nights rest. The City of McKinney has a huge pool about 1 1/2 from the house.

The space:

This is a full time guest home. It sits on 2+ acres surrounded by Pecan, Magnolia and Crepe Myrtle trees. There are 7 bedroom and 4 baths. The hall bath is handicap accessible. One of the baths has a 65 jetted tub. The kitchen is full furnished with everything you will need for feeding a large group. There is plenty of room for socializing inside and outside. The great room brings large groups together in one place, the kitchen is the heart of the activities. Outside there is a deck that is 40 x 35, with lighting.

In 1972 I made my first trip out of the United States, to Paris, France. Since that time I’ve been to over 53 countries. I have just returned from Cuba. Believe me when I say Heaven is on earth right here where we are. I love to travel but there is no place like home.
No matter where in the world I would be I would never be ready to leave it. I always felt like I was being unfaithful to my home, in Texas , when I would yearn to stay longer.
I solved that problem by returning to some of my favorite countries at least one more time and sometimes more.
Now I am hosting. I’ve taken all the things I could think of that are important to me, when I travel, and have implemented them in the Pecan Grove.
I have declared myself the Leona Helmsley (Helmsley Palace of New York) of Melissa, Texas. Of course, this is a joke but not totally.
Sleeping is very important. When you sleep is when you brain and body heals. All the sheets and towels are 100% cotton.
After my first in the 70’s to France I became obsessed with third world countries. I made two trips to India and stayed six weeks each time. I visited the city where Krishna was born and sleep on the ground, like a camper.
Today, camping to me is “slow room service”.
Pecan Grove, named appropriately because the ranch house is nestled and surrounded by 200 year old Pecan and Magnolia trees. The gourmet kitchen is huge and has at least one of everything one could think of that you would want to use while cooking. It has rice cookers, bread machines and other gadgets, some you may wonder what they are used for. I even brought over a beautiful set of china for 12.
Enjoy and take care of our property as you would your own. No smoking allowed. We prefer no one runs around the house outside, naked.

Guest access:

There is plenty of parking for 20+ cars, use of the entire house, 2 washer and 2 dryer available for weekly and monthly guests only. The house is approximately 3,500 sq feet on one level and the deck is 40 feet x 35 feet with outdoor lighting.

Interaction with guests:

The host doesn’t live on site but is always available by phone text or call.
